Our client for this project was a well-known destination marketing agency responsible for the promotion of one of Australia’s states.

The aim of the project was to build awareness of Western Australia in the China market by positioning Perth as a premium sporting event destination, as well as highlighting sporting infrastructure, sporting experiences, nature and wildlife, and world class F&B offerings.

The project leveraged James Clarke’s following on leading Chinese social media channels through the shooting and delivery of short video and livestreaming content.

Livestreaming content

Much of the project’s planning revolved around the timing of the FIFA Women’s World Cup China team’s Perth itinerary, and the China vs Denmark match on the 22nd July. Following consultation with FIFA and other stakeholders, we crafted a 2-hr livestreaming session that put the vibrancy of the Perth CBD and Team China’s fan experience on display.

Short video content

The project design included the shooting of 3 short videos suitable for sharing on James and the client’s own Chinese social media channels.

The project achieved over 56,000,000 impressions across our livestreaming and short video content, and over 569,000 engagements within a month; delivering an estimated PR value of AUD $787,000.
